School for Professional Development
Mission: The School for Professional Development manages the development and implementation of Professional Development efforts for the Chaplain Corps, including Chaplain Professional Reinforcement Training (CPRT), a program that facilitates the transition of new Chaplains into the Army and prepares them for successful careers as Chaplains in all components.
The School for Professional Development is also integral in developing a Chaplain Career Map that identifies key developmental positions and specializations across a Chaplain’s lifecycle and in developing Professional Education courses in support of identified Chaplain Professional Objectives to be utilized in institutional and operational contexts.
